Chronically ill individuals who have PICC-Line or Mid-Line catheters are largely unaccommodated in the fashion industry, inspiring my Studio I project this year. Currently, it is challenging to find clothing that would be their first choice in a retail environment and does not bring unwanted attention to their device. Creating this 5-look collection, I plan to keep it under $375 with 30 yards of fabric in total. This project aims to empower the chronically ill to dream and see their medical ports as the bridge to these dreams. Fusing function and fashion to speak to a group that feels unseen, my collection is connected to the hearts of this niche.
